I love my paintbrush more than you!

The monoprint diary is a creation that international Welsh artist Bridget Evans created in 2012. The monoprint diary was a series of images and prints that were compiled together in a book. This book contained over 20 prints of different responses to the subject matter of love and broken relationships.

I love my paintbrush more than you - is a monoprint that was chosen with a royal blue colour to print from. The style of print is unique due to monoprinting from a glass at home studio. The colour chosen is powerful to the artist, Bridget due to the stature and status it holds.

The Colour Blue, is chosen as a deep navy and light royal blue due to the Indepths of my cultural background. The cultural deep blue is related to the celtic mud that entwines in the veins of hearts.

As stated, the indepth connections of love are for art and not a man or any relationship to do with intimacy other than that of art and a painting. Meaning that the paintbrush in her hand, is the only dedication she has for the passion within and not for any human being alike.

Finally, the print is placed in a book with a collection of responses that artist Bridget really felt strong about at the time. The passion of this work discontinued shortly afterwards but the enjoyment of creation of different work evolved.
