Pastels

The use of pastels has been a limited contribution with International Welsh Artist Bridget Evans. After attending a demo video by an another artist, Bridget was inspired to create and draw along. Pastels and a special aqua pastel crayon was used to make the landscape picture.

Firstly, Bridget rarely paints at the moment and her practice is focused on Installation involving collage, paper and a repetition of creativity. So seeing, Bridget work with pastels is a rare occasion.

The whole experience of recreating pastels has opened up a possibility to her of whether she will revisit landscapes and portraitures. In the meantime, Bridget is collaging used newspapers and creating a project on repetitive household chores.

The Pastels that International Welsh Artist used was Aqua and chalky basic pastels palette. The ideas was to create a landscape with mountain feature and someone walking away from the path of the landscape scenery.

With such a workshop and demo displayed Bridget has thoroughly thought about using pastels and paint in the future. And would possibly even start producing work to sell. However, Bridget's work has been focused on installation and is changing rapidly with ideas and creativity.

So far, International Welsh Artist Bridget Evans - is focusing on installation and collage-work.
